All of our supervisors are ISST Certified Schema Therapy Supervisor-Trainers. We have hand-picked them not only for their exceptional level of skill and experience but also their personal qualities, such as their warmth and attunement; ability to provide guidance and to communicate theoretical concepts with clarity.

 

Dr Anastasiya Lovegrove is a Counselling Psychologist. She is certified in Schema Therapy for Couples as well as for individuals; incorporates EMDR and in addition to English, speaks Ukrainian and Russian. For more, see https://www.drlovegrove.co.uk.

Dr Christina Vallianatou is a Counselling Psychologist. She has worked for the National Health Service in the UK and currently works in private practice in Athens. She also has years of teaching experience in different academic settings. Her research interests, publications and conference presentations focus on Schema Therapy, eating disorders and multicultural issues in psychotherapy. Dr Felicity Nichols is a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, predominantly in forensic settings.  Her areas of special interest are complex trauma, addictive behaviour and psychosis.  She maintains an active research profile through collaborations with the University of Dundee and NHS partnerships. In addition to Schema Therapy,  she uses CBT, mindfulness and sensorimotor psychotherapy in her clinical work.

Dr Helen Startup is an NHS Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Research Fellow as well as an honorary Senior Lecturer with Sussex University. She has worked in National specialist settings for eating disorders, psychosis and personality disorders and with individuals and groups experiencing a wide range of distressing problems. Dr Hilary Kloss previously worked in NHS forensic services as a Senior Clinical Psychologist before moving to Prague, where she runs a successful private practice.  She works predominantly with adults with personality disorder, complex trauma and persistent anxiety and depression. As well as Schema Therapy, she integrates elements of ACT and DBT into her clinical work. Dr Joan Farrell is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, an adjunct professor of clinical psychology, at Purdue University (IUPUI) and was a faculty member of the Indiana University School of medicine (IUSM) in Psychiatry for 25 yrs. She is Research director of the Centre for BPD Treatment and Research of the Indiana University School of Medicine/Midtown CMHC. She co-founded Group Schema Therapy and has authored numerous Schema Therapy publications.

Dr Kerry Beckley is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist and is certified in both Individual and Group Schema Therapy. She has worked in various forensic settings developing Schema Therapy services and schema-informed practice.  She has published and presented on forensic Schema Therapy for many years both nationally and internationally.

Dr Kirsty Gillings is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS with a special interest in complex trauma, addictive behaviour and psychosis. She maintains an active research profile through collaborations with the University of Dundee and NHS partnerships. She integrates body-focused approaches in her clinical work, including mindfulness and sensorimotor psychotherapy.

Rachel Horsman is a Forensic Psychologist who is certified in both Group and individual Schema Therapy. She works in a high secure forensic setting and specialises in complex and severe personality disorders.

Dr Sam Leaity is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice with a specialist interest in mindfulness and CFT and a background in health psychology.
